Ok so now im somewhat confused, since im getting mixed reactions from people...
People have told me the 9800 gx2 was a scam and doesn't really work as good as people had intended for crysis.
While the xfx gtx 280 is cheaper but seems to be better some people say.

What I want to know is what is the best out of the two? With good reasons thanks in advance! :)
Also I would like to keep track on how many people choose each card.

unless the GX2 is cheaper, I don't see a reason in dealing with Dual GPU.

EVGA 9800 GX2s are 279.99 here

while the 280 GTX is still 417.99

The 9800 GX2 still has a huge Gap of atleast 10 fps over the 280 GTX in most games.

But if the 280 is cheaper, then I'd go with it, since its less of a hassle over all.

actually its 5-20% depending on the game:)

519.99 for a GX2? Thats insane, I haven't seen 1 that high since May/June. :|

U fromt he States or Canada?

Because if you are, you have so many more options than a 520$ GX2...for that money your better off getting a 4870 X2!!!!!

-10 to bestbuy...

went in on a tuesday... to get a game...

said it was in stock online... the sales person checked and said it wasn't instock... wouldn't even check the back room to see if it was there buy not in the inventory yet... then the sales rep said it wouldn't be at ANY best buy for atleast 2 weeks...

came back the next day and it was in stock and they had like 200 games of it....

i was so pissed at that guy I was going to tell him off but i couldn't find him

complete waste of time on my part because of some loser who doesn't care about his job at all

yup thats what happened to me with the wii fit, they told me that it takes 4 weeks and that no best buy or any store has them. I went to the EBgames right next to the Best buy and they had 8 of them fresh. Walked to my car, and I saw the cargo truck behind the Best and people were unloading wii fits...

Best buy ppl are just a bunch of yes ppl, their knowledge goes about as far as "Hello sir"

sigh...

eVGA in my experience is a bad choice for a manufacturer.

I picked up a 9800X2 from them and it was one of the most unsatisfactory purchases I have ever made, the product was defective and eVGA's customer support was horrific, 3 weeks later after dealing with the RMA process I finaly decided "Fugg it" and upgraded to the 280... and I am STILL waiting for it... so right now, I have paid $460 for the privilege of playing with an old 7600GT my wife used to have... Yay eVGA...

I should have just returned the card back to newegg.

The ASUS for sure. I've heard a lot of bad stuff about Diamond, and mostly positive things about ASUS.
