How do I uninstall printer diver from Xp Computer?

I want to uninstall my printer from my XP computer and replace it with a new one. When I click on the UNINSTALL on the Lecmark page, a message, The printer is in use. Please wait until the printer finished prniting then uninstall. I allready disconnected the USB printer cable from the copmuter, still I received the same mesage. Please help me.

Go to start-->printers and faxes-->double click on your printer-->delete whatever is in the print queue. Then try to uninstall it.
