SSD - The Performance Upgrade of the Future
Hello, I am new here and this is my first post..... My system is home built.......Config Processor: - Intel Quad Core Q6600 (Running Stock) Motherboard: - ASUS P5B-Deluxe Ram: - DDR2 667 MHz 1 GB GFX: - MSI Radeon HD4870 512mb DDR5 Ram (Over Clocked Edition) PSU: - 600watts HDD: - 160GB SATA 2(But its jumper is set to run at less than 3 Gb/sec) OS: - WinXP Prof SP3 ATI Catalyst: - 8.9 I know that i need to increase the ram.....4GB DDR2 800 is planned. I will also remove the HDD jumper so that it runs at 3 Gb/sec. Is there any other thing that is bottlenecking my system? Also is the winxp version of Dx10 worth installing? Will i get any performance benifits? I am able to play Half Life 2 on max setting with (1280x1024, 4xAA, 8xAF, Very High Quality) Also i was considering changing my mobo to P45 or X48 based mobo, is it worth it considering the launching of x58 chipset? Please advice, Niranjan
I Just downloaded 3DMark06 Build 110, will post the score as soon as possible. Thanks Niranjan
3DMark 06 Build110 gave a score of 12583... Is this score low? Any suggetions?
Its low, mine hd4850 gives result of 12900... And i didnt overclocked it nor cpu
Hi, I did a some tweaking with ASUS AI Suite and the score was 13568..... so guess the cpu is the bottleneck.... Any Advice?
Overclock cpu to over 3ghz and it will be fine. Box cooler is enough, you dont have to change it
