actly..the problm is, our cmpny server tht use for domain cntroller has crashed ..n at our cmpny has setup some workroup pc ..
b4 this when pc in "workgoup" want to access/read share folder from pc in "domain" must hve permission from domain server..
so in our server situation is not here,
how we can enable those pc in "workgroup" to hve permission use/read share folder
from pc in "domain" n without setup new domain server..??
Why on earth is the domain controller not being replaced before this is going on? No backup controller, or restore procedure? And your IT person can't figure out the local PC rights? Sounds like your managers need to look at the infrastrucutre support a bit more.
You need to logon to the remote computer using a local account to authenticate to, either create a new local user on the computers and use that to gain access to shared files, or give Everyone rights to the shared folders.
