Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme fan speed control?

Hi guys,

I am currently using a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme 1366 for my Intel core I7, with only one fan. Do anyone know if I have any way to control the fan speed?

If the fan is plugged into the motherboard's cpu fan connection, then you can probably use your system to control the fan speed based on cpu temperature.
The fan connection on a motherboard is typicalled marked CPU_Fan or something similar. Check your motherboard manual for the specific location of the connection. Check your Bios and/or any software utilities supplied with your motherboard and see if the fan can be monitored and controlled.

BTW - Good choice for a cpu heatsink. I have the original Thermalright Ultra 120 that I keep recycling.

And if your motherboard can't control the speed of the fan you can buy one of a million controllers on the market and use that to control your fan.

Use speedfan to check your RPM's and set you fan speed to the desired settings.
