Will 8gb of ram make a differnce over 4gb ?

right now i have 4gb of 1333 ddr3 corshair memory. vista 64

i primarly play games on my computer
will 8gb help me in performance or not do anything ?

Depends on what games you're playing and what else you have running...If you look at taskmgr when playing and don't go above 3 gigs, I'd say no...If you're above 3 then it wouldnt hurt...Also, keep everything dual channel and you should be fine for now

if your machine has more ram it may use more ram, but either way you would need Vista 64bit for windows to recognize more either way....
