Been about 4 years since I have last upgraded to a new computer. I have been using my Sager NP9260 http://www.notebookreview.com/defa [...] ger+NP9260 as a replacement for gaming since I am on the road half the time. But even having one of the best laptops has its limitations performance wise so I decided I am going to build a new home system. I don't really have a budget per say but normally I buy systems that give me the most bang for my buck. I am also outta touch on the latest PC hardware so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
a high quality 750w would be enough.
most monitor run at 60hz. the monitor i have runs at 60hz but i forced it to run at 120hz which it does fine. the difference between 60hz and 120hz isnt much to me. in my opinion your better off with a 60hz. 120hz will be very expensive.

""650 Watt or greater power supply with one 2x3-pin PCIe® power connector and one 2x4-pin PCIe® power connector is required (1K Watt with two 2x3-pin and two 2x4-pin connectors for ATI CrossFireX™ technology in dual mode)1 ""
Also performance wise I am unsure if I should go for E8600 Core 2 Duo or Q9550 Core 2 Quad because I run fraps on some of my games which is very CPU intensive plus I multitask quite a bit. Wasn't sure if the 4GB Mushkin 1066MHZ (2*2) matches what I put on my list. I was also curious to see what 120hz LCD monitors were on the market cause I could not find any. Last I was unsure what aftermarket CPU cooler I should use so I was wondering if the one I listed was any good. Feel free to critique anything as this looks close to what I am thinking of getting. Also let me know if I am missing any parts (cables, accessories, etc) as I am not going to be reusing any old parts from my previous computer.
