I was wondering d same thing, after defragment disk, my C drive lost about 8GB and that's a lot. I wonder where d vista hide it.

My first defragment my i lose 3++GB and it thought i should run the defragment again, but it become worst when i lost a total of 8++GB. Darn:( 

I really wonder y this happening with vista OS
Any suggestion guys? Help me:(

System Restore may be reserving space on your disk. Defragmenting should not change free disk space. It should rather increase space in cases where the filesystem is very full.
