HI everyone

I have a Dell xps 600 with a dual sli 7800 gt cards. Like most people I want to upgrade the card. I've read that I can run a nvidia 8800 GTS and that the system should support this with its current power supply.

Since I can't replace the power supply, my question is can the XPS 600 support two 8800 GTS in sli mode.

Not in SLI(2*8800GTS). But a single 8800GTS should work fine( in theory, imo, I wouldn't trust Dell PSUs). Not sure about the 4850s though. The question is what games do you play and at what resolution?

With the 650 watt 42 amp power supply in the XPS600, SLI GTS G80's have been used.
The only bios version that would allow it to work was A06.

Dell power supplies are very solid, one wont be a problem but as has been said there may be issues with the bios.

Am i missing something ? Im fairly sure you cant run 4850's on an SLI board. :sarcastic: :)

^I meant 4870 single cards. :lol: yes, you can't run CF on an SLI board but there is a hack for it.
