Xp system recovery

I have I compaq presario V2615 and remember that I created a couple of rescue disks for it. I did not get an XP Home disk when I bought it. It was HP that provided the info about creating 2 rescue disks. I can't find the instructions online at the HP site and have done several searches of the internet.
Does anyone know how to create these disks? Or is there another way to get your XP OS working again?

Your PC has to be functioning in order to create the discs.... if Windows is already messed up and won't boot, then you can't create the discs without first fixing Windows. However, all may not be lost... HP / Compaq PCs usually have a recovery partition that can be utilized in lieu of the discs. Look on the POST screen for something that says Recovery.
