ok where my specs before formulate a question......

i7 920 do batch b best to overclock

asus p6t se bios 0608(last edition)

corsair h50 water cooling = fan cooling(3 80mm 3 120 mm).....
radiator blowing inn left side panel blowing inn front one blows inn and on the top blowing out

corsair 2000mhz 3x2 6gb

enough say :

i can easily overclock it to 4.2 stable 18 hours straight(prime)

my tempetures dont go over 71* cpu

ht its on also turbo
if i overclock to 4.4 i bot's and run windows but become inestable after a 20-25 minute period load and bot's by herself
example(raise the dram,qpi,pll,pcie,ioh)
can some expert on this materia , help me out to strech's my cpu to the max i know its capable of hit the 4.5 or at least be stable at 4.4

CPUs vary considerably. Yours might simply be limited to 4.2GHz.

However, heat could be your issue. as noted here:

The thermal limit of the core i7 920 is 67.9C. Personally I would lower the overclock to keep reasonable temperatures. Heat might be your issue but from my understanding, 4.2GHz is a good stable overclock without resorting to cooling using dry ice or liquid hydrogen or helium.

its not the chip im sure usually when the chip reach his top the computer wont boot or remain's very unstable-i already strech the memory with the lowest blck multiplier and run the stress test for 8 minutes and pass without errors, i've been working on it on 4.3 but the multiplier to achive that frequency gotta be 206 which its so near to 210 that my goal its focus on 4.4 ................on 205 un core stop running i restart'ed and like 13 minutes later other core stop working i'll decide to stop the torture of the cpu almost getting 77* after 47 minutes but it's stable enought to work on it - i was looking for some ideas for for cpu volt on 4.4 on that mobo ,which qpi lower or higer than the cpu volt and also the dram which still on 1.50 or any ideas to get'it stable the chip its prove to get 4.4 (71* WAS THE AFTER NIGHT HIGER TEMPETURE WITH THE ROOM CLOSE AND THE WINDOW OPEN IN ORDER TO HELP OUT A LITTLE THE CPU)...........

4.2 ghz is fast enough, You dnt need anymore speed!

Anyways your CPU is alittle hot to be honest, if i were you i'd just stick with 4.2ghz
