hi everyone ,
Im going to buy the gtx 295 when it comes out

Which of these two mobos should I get

Asus P5Q PRO P45 $129

OR
Open box Asus P5E x38

I wont change my mobo in at least 2 years

I wouldn't get an open box. I just don't like doing that.

I'd get the P45 if you're only going to have one GPU.

yeah, open box mobos usually don't come with an i/o shield, and you're only using one pci-e slot, so the p45 will be fine

I just ordered the P5Q P45 Mobo Open Box two days ago, I'm only going to be using a GTX 260 though

yea but what i really want is to have both pcie 2.0 runnig at x16. i know i will be using a single for NOW, but maybe later i will do some crossfire

Lol....

Well the P45 only supports Crossfire (two or more ATI cards), as do X38/X48. These boards do not support SLI (nvidia cards). Youll need a nvidia 750i/780i/790i if you want to do that.

i know i need to have a sli mobo, but i was just saying that after the gtx295 there will be a better ati card (and i want to have that ati card crossfire)
