can i upgrade windows NT to win 7 does any on know

  1. I don't think NT 4 (i'm assuming you're running NT 4) qualifies... At that point however, it's much safer to buy a retail or OEM copy and do a clean install.
  2. i don't think either, but would really like to know for sure..I have NT work station licenses
  3. After some quick Googling, I cannot find any reference on any site to Windows NT 4 qualifying for an upgrade to Windows 7.

    Clean install required for Windows 2000 and XP, no inplace upgrade.
    Vista upgrade from Home Premium to W7 Home Premium or Ultimate:
    Vista Business to W7 Profesional or Ultimate:
    Vista Ultimate to W7 Ultimate.
    No to any previous versions.

  8. i have looked on-line and will try a upgrade path using win 2000 route using my oem NT disc. If not will use current xp os and upgrade that a have a few dell recovery disks hopefully they won't cause any glitches, thank you again guys, like i said before please feel free to ask a return Q i will try to help too
