Will a new AMD Phenom processor work on my motherboard?

Hey there,

I'm looking to upgrade my processor to one of the new AMD Phenoms. I read in a magazine that they are AM2 and AM2+ compatible. I have an ASUS M2N-e Mobo (this one:http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?manufacture=ASUS&sku=18885&vpn=M2N-E). I think my motherboard is just AM2 compatible, but I'm not entirely sure.

I was just wondering if a processor such as this one - http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/PID-MX20828(ME).aspx - would be compatible with my mobo.

Check the ASUS website to be sure. If it is on the support list then make sure you update to the proper BIOS version before putting in the new CPU.
