do 2 sets of this ^ (4 sticks -> 8gb) fit on an asus rampage?

For GPU im wondering what sort of performance increase i could expect if i get 2 of :

instead of just one. also if i get 2 of these will a 1300w PSU be enough with 5 extra fans, quad core, crossfire, 10,000 rpm hd, and blue ray player?

That Tagan should be fine. A little overkill. Here are some AMD certified
PSUs

mushkin XP ASCENT would be better, from what I've read. Yup, either one will fit on the mobo. I think you meant to ask if they would work with the mobo out of the box. Probably not. If not, try each stick in each slot.

This is a list of certified psus for HD 4870 X2 CF. The one you picked out will work:

8 GB of memory is the limit on your motherboard.
Both of those brands are good.
You need a 64-bit operating system for 8 GB.

If you have problems:

Increase voltage to 2.1v. Relax timings.
Set the RAM voltage to max and bump up the NB voltage untill its stable.

It's hard on the Northbridge with 8 Gig. Plus you need to set the tRFC over 54.

no i was asking about if they would fit on it because with the mushkin i had heard that the heat spreaders were too wide for some mobos

what do you mean it is hard on the northbridge? like it will shorten the life of my mobo?

sorry this is my first build and i dont know too much about the bios settings etc. so im trying to read up and figure out most potential problems prior to ordering.
