my p6n board worked well with intel D930.

But, computer does not post when I installed E8500.

I Patched BIOS to 2.7....

I don't know why my computer did not even post...

Should I get a new board???

If I have to get new one, what should I buy?

Make sure you clear the CMOS memory on the MB. Try reinstalling your Pentium D930. If that works, and then installing the E8500 doesn't work, then the MB may not really support the E8500. A lot of people have had similar problems with such older MBs.
