Alright, so I'm a Mac owner and a PC owner. I have the Elgato Eye TV tuner & software for my Mac, and it rocks, literally. It's the best thing since sliced bread. The question is - is there any TV tuner/software that even can get close to the excellent quality of EyeTV?? I've tried many different brands of PC tv tuners and they are all JUNK, JUNK, JUNK. I cannot believe people are actually paying and using PC TV Tuners & software...it's all worthless crap that looks like a 2 year old thew it together in an hour.

Anyways - I hope someone here has used EyeTV and suggest a brand of TV Tuner/Software that actually can compete with Elgato's EyeTV for Mac.

I myself had an iMac up until a month ago....and not an old one...I had a 2.8ghz 24" aluminum, new model iMac with EveTV, and yes, it was AWESOME...i wish I still had it, however, I needed to go with PC, since I am a video editor, and all the professional companies use Premiere Pro for braodcasting and the version for Mac sucks, so anyway...

The PC equivalent to EveTV is called "SageTV". It rocks as much as my EyeTV does, and records straight to H264 MP4 files, universal for the net. I love it. It also has a client software iinstaller that lets you watch any of your recordings from any other computer in your house, like Uverse or Slingbox technology.
