I am looking to modify my old build (or make a new one)

currently I have:

C2D 6600 @ 2.6GHz (Reserator cooled) will chuck that for a decent heatsink/cooler as long as it is quiet and gives airflow in the case.
4x 1GB Kingston DDR2 800 RAM
a variety of HDD's will need a new one since they are all filling up, and I like to get a NEW one for a new build
Antec 180 case (think it is called 180 something) but it is huge (520x520x200mm approx)
onboard X-FI
offboard Audigy 2 platinum orwhatever it was (not installed)
a missbuy mobo with 4 pci-e 16x size slots (8x if sli) so yes it can run 4 gfx cards but not interested in that
8800GTX 768MB 16x
Samsung 22" 226BW I think is model name and I love it 1680x1050
Altec Lansing 2.1 very nice speakers, decent sub

what I need/want:

I want a more quiet solution, atm there is a lot of fan noise, had to crank fans up because of heat issues which really annoys me, and I had to chuck an extra fan in to cool the ram modules or I would crash constantly because of lack of airflow over the rams.

I want a smaller case like this: http://silverstonetek.com/products/p_spec.php?pno=tj08&area=usa which only supports µATX mobos so I need a new mobo.

I was thinking of this mobo: http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products...spx?ProductID=2902&ProductName=GA-MA78GM-DS2H though I heard it had some issues with a hot southbridge which could cause problems, so ideas for another µATX mobo would be nice please.

I would most likely chuck a Athlon X2 4850e on it http://products.amd.com/en-us/DesktopCPUFilter.aspx 2.5GHz dualcore 65nm 45W TDP.
I know it is a downgrade from the 6600, but going after a decent running system that uses less power, runs cooler and is more quiet. It is still on the thought stage, so ideas are most welcome.

I would change the memory to some better 2x2GB modules so I could upgrade later on with another 2x2GB if I wish to. (I would run Vista64 on the system) atm it runs WinXP PRO and I well I am tired of it and I use Vista on my laptop and I love it and it plays pretty fairly even though it is not a gaming laptop. So ideas for some good memory modules that comes in 2x2GB packages would be appreciated.

I would like decent sound but I will test the on-board first to see how good it is, and I am looking into the Logitech Z-5500 Digital http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/speakers_audio/home_pc_speakers/devices/224&cl=gb,en UK site for english text, but I am from Denmark.

I want to keep my Samsung 22" 226BW @1680x1050 until a nice 24" Samsung gets on the market at a decent price (future upgrade for 1920x1200 resolution.

I was thinking of a ATI 4850/4870 card if they are quiet enough, but they use a lot of power but a really powerful too.

I am not sure of a good PSU, the one I have should have been really nice, but I think it is faulty (few years old) it ticks loudly when playing 3D games and my PC crashes a bit too often for my liking, especially when I push the 3D graphics up (using more power). So some ideas for that would be appreciated.

For a HDD I would most likely go with the 7200.11 Seagate series around 500-750 gigs depending on which has the better gb/price ratio when I buy, unless you have ideas for other/better/more quiet ones with good speed/storage?

So flood me with your thoughts, ideas and suggestions please, I am listening

I guess I should add:

I pretty much only play WoW (few days a week) then I watch movies and rip my DVDs (full size rips with the 5.1 sound) I rarely play any other games but have played HL2, Fear, Crysis and such which run just fine on the current rig, but it is very rare I play anything but WoW.
