I have serious problem with my new Acer AL2216Wbd monitor. It only comes on for a short period, most of the time only for a few seconds. I try different resolutions, refresh rates, Acer display manager and drivers what to I have to to to get this 22" monitor working

NB: My systems has:

One scenario:
If you ever had it working, you had it plugged into DVI or the DSUB and you changed it to one or the other. I am going to assume you are using some form of Microsoft OS.
Launch Windows in safe mode, delete the video card from the device manager and if there are any monitors present, delete those as well. Restart the computer and let Windows re-detect your adapter and monitor. You may or may not have to reinstall your video drivers.
If you are running Linux, you need to edit the xorg.conf, which I will not go into unless you let us know you are running Linux.

Second scenario:
It is a new monitor, you never had it working before in Windows. Follow the above steps.

Third scenario: Your monitor is fooked.

Does the monitor work outside of Windows?
