Quick OS/Hard Drive Question

Let's say I have an 80GB Seagate Hard Drive with Windows XP on it. If I replace my motherboard with one that is better, can I use the old Hard Drive and have the OS boot and run perfectly?

You will likely have to do a repair install of XP (see Michael Stevens here), load your new motherboard drivers, and then visit the windows update website to download and install updates. You'll need you WinXP CD and your product key.
