Delete partition


It might have been cheaper and quicker to have regularised the piorated copy with M$ by buying from them but it's too late now.

You need to start outside Windows by using your new CD to boot the system and format the drive, overwriting the pirated version. As soon as it's installed and online, go straight to Microsoft's site and download SP3 - miss out 2 - to bring the system up to date and there will then be over ninety more updates after that.

Before you format it out of existence, use the present system to transfer your personal files as well as C:\Windows\inf (a hidden folder) and C:\Windows\System32\Drivers and DRV_STORE. Putting those folders in to replace those in your new system will save you a lot of hassle finding drivers.

When I do that i reboot press space bar when it says boot from cd but it doesnt go to the blue install screen, it goes to the regular windows screen and loads up. Now what?
