What are good 120mm and/or 140mm for this case?

Antec Three Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower

However the "Antec 300 illusion", for $15 more, comes with some generic fans. I'm thinking a brand third party fan would be better quality and lifetime than the generics that come on this revision.

How about?

Thermaltake A2018 120mm Blue LED

Any suggestions?

What you will discover is that just about everyone has a favorite fan.

If you are interested in quality fans that are fairly quiet instead of bling, then I suggest you visit Silent PC Review:

It pays to have a good look around the site.

The Antec fans in one review were not that bad actually. That was when I bought my 900 about 3 years ago. 3 speed switch etc.

Want the best current most popular low noise vs CFM and pressure?

Gentle Typhoons, the 1450 RPM is usually enough. Good luck finding them. I got a email that Jabtech had them in stock, I ordered my 6, 2 days later they were all gone. They had over 100 in stock, and not a huge online retialer, they cater to watercoolers mostly. Good store though.

9 bladed Cooler Master fans are usually very good. Around 20dba for 70CFM.

The Newegg specs lists this one as 90CFM and 19dba...I think they've got it wrong. I think it's suppose to be 70CFM and 19dba, or 90CFM and 26dba. Either one is superb.

+1.

Also add to the list of consideration: Yate Loons

I use Yates and these :

Rosewill RFA-120-BL 120mm 4 Blue LEDs LED Case Fan - Retail

You cannot beat the price, and the fact that I have ordered over 15 of them since last year and not one has failed on me yet, knock on wood....

For once I am going to agree with zip. He has a very good point.

Whats wrong with the stock Antec fans? The case ventilation, airflow, and cooling are excellent. There is no need to replace the fans. What makes you "think" third party fans "might" be better or last longer?

What's wrong with the fans that come with it??

I think the fan suggestions are IF the OP decides to go with the regular 300....

The 300 only comes with 2 Fans, the top 140mm (3 speed) and the rear 120mm (3speed), he will need at least 2 more for the front intakes.....Unless he decides to get the "Illusion" ;)

The only drawback with the Illusion is that all fans are 4 pin molex :??:  not good at all when paired with a fan controller....

Depends on the fans. yate loons have both on them. I cut the 4 pin off, they are standard 3 pin mini molex and connect to my controller just fine. The 300 doesn't have any fans in the front? At least one right?

Not the regular 300, it only comes with the top and rear fan....But what can you expect for 55$?

The Antec stock fans are all 4 pin molex and do not have a 3 pin attached like the yates..

^ Imo, the NZXT Beta EVO is better than the Antec 300 for $50-$55 range.

Anyways, you could use a resistor to drop the Molex fans down to 9-7v. This will still work even if you don't have the 3rd pin.

IMO the front bezel of that EVO looks horrible... But not bad for the price....
