mmmmk, i know it is like really early to start planning a christmas wishlist but i am going to have about a $200 limit for a christmas present.
i want to get a new graphics card for my rig cause my 3870 isnt running crysis like i wish it would:(
so! what would you prefer:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121247 3870x2

OR...

a 4850: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6814161244

they both are pretty awesome cards and imo i think the 3870 would be slightly more future proof due to the dual GPU config. and my mobo only has one PCIX 12 2.0 slot:(

thanks!

PCIX 12 2.0 slot

wtf kinda hybrid slot is that?

and it is REALLY early to be planning this out, but get the 4850... i picked that over the 3870x2 because people told me the scaling is inconsistent, it doesn't work 2x 3870 in every game... the 4850, your GUARANTEED additional perfomance on every game... but by the time you get your gift, 4870's should be down in price, as well as gtx 260's, so you shouldn't really plan anything lol

I agree with eklipz330 out of those 2 you should go for the 4850, and the HIS one your looking at is probably the best one to get so far IMHO
