Hey man...there are some articles here for building a good PC for that price range. Here's a quick and dirty list - you'll have to look for the component you want and we'll help you from there

CPU: E8400 or Q6600
Mobo: P45
GPU: 4850
Case: your choice (antec 300 has gotten great reviews)
RAM: DDR2 800 2x2GB
HDD: WD 640 GB
PSU: probably only need 500w or so - get a good company (PC Power and Cooling, Corsair, OCZ, etc)
DVD Drive: most are OK - just get SATA

Come back with a list of your choices and we'll help you out.

Ok...you don't need RAM that fast (1066) unless you really want to overclock a ton. Just get DDR2 800 with decent cas latency and you'll be fine (you can get similar OCZ reaper's for under $50)

I wouldn't suggest the case w/ a PSU. Buy a quality PSU from a good manufacturer. Don't skimp here...it's very important

The other choices are good.

you may want to grab another 120mm fan or 2.... your case only comes with 1 exhaust fan.

OK...the RAM is OK, but why not go for 2x2GB. You can get 4GB of DDR2 800 for $50 or so.

You ought to be able to get a 4850 for less than $170. Just look around for it.
If that's not OK, give us a GPU budget and we'll look around.

I think you ought to get a better GPU. For only like $20 more you can get a 4850 and it will outperform that 9600 by a lot.

Here's one for only $150 after rebate: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6814121253

Everything looks good other than that

Ok thanks alot huron you r a great help i swiched it i looked at that one and i just saw that alot of ppl said that it overheats but i think with all my case fans that shouldnt be a problem what do you think... or is there a way to swich out the stock fan or fix it a different way.

It's my pleasure. The 4850 is hot (it's a single slot design), but a great card. Yes, you can change to coolers. There are GPU cooler available.
