All that for 370? It's not a very realistic price range. Considering you live in India, the mark up on components should make them more expensive than if you bought them in the States.

These are US prices, from a popular online retailer, Newegg.com. Your prices will almost certainly vary.

Rosewill R220-P-BK Black 0.5mm SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail
Model #:R220-P-BK
Item #:N82E16811147074

$29.99 -$10.00 Instant $19.99

Case has a 120mm rear fan and place in front for another. Most edges are rolled, and it has plenty of space.

BIOSTAR TFORCE TA790GX A2+ AM2+/AM2 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail
Model #:TFORCE TA790GX A2+
Item #:N82E16813138128

$99.99 -$5.00 Instant $94.99

The integrated chipset on this board can actually handle a few recent games, except at the very high end. You can always add a discrete GPU later when your budget allows.

Model #:BP500UB
Item #:N82E16817371019

$39.99 $39.99

Powerful enough for that separate GPU later. Antec has a good reputation, making this one of the few "cheap" PSUs I'd risk buying.

Model #:ADO5000DOBOX
Item #:N82E16819103211

The mobo will support a quad, but that is out of your budget for now. This dual core CPU should provide reasonable performance.

Model #:ST3250410AS
Item #:N82E16822148262

$59.99 $59.99

A little bigger than you said you wanted, but actually there aren't many smaller drives out there any more.

LITE-ON 20X DVD±R DVD Burner Black SATA Model iHAS120-08 - Retail
Model #:iHAS120-08
Item #:N82E16827106264

$28.99 $28.99

I've used this model (or the one with Lightscribe) in a few builds lately without problems.

Subtotal: $341.44

Within budget, but doesn't include shipping or government extortion (taxes). Once again, prices and availability may be very different where you are.
This does not include a printer. You can get a basic inkjet printer for about $50-$75; a personal laser printer for $150-$200. How much will you print (in pages per month), and what will you be printing (program listings or photos) ?

Oh, left off a keyboard, mouse, and speakers. You should be able to pick all of those up for as little as $20-$25.

I would start with a motherboard with AMD 780 chipset and using the integrated graphic for a while until you can afford a good video card. The AMD780 can play game, not at the highest setting, but they can be played anyway..

put 2 gig of RAM, add the hdd and dvdrw. all brand are good enough so don't worry for that.

Then put what remain of your budget toward the fastest AMD cpu you can get.

use this system for a while, then upgrade to a faster video card, like the ATI 4670.

Don't forget a 400-500w PSU for the whole thing.

Thank you all guys for replying so fast.
For printer i have a seperate budget,
not included in $370. thank u jtt283 and pat for your explanation.

i have a mouse and sound system. regarding processors i have been using pentium 3 for the last 7 years. it never gave a promblem. are AMD processors also last for a long time like Intel? are they reliable? i have to convice my elder brother who wants me to take only Intel.

regarding MB suggested by jtt283 does it support to extension of RAM to 4 gb in the future.i want to buy a laser printer which can print mainly documents with photos like call letters. around 30 documents a month.

That motherboard supports up to 16GB of RAM.
AMD processors have the same lifespan as Intel.
An Intel build may be possible, but the closest I came before was a little higher and the performance would have been lower. I'll recheck and post it later; need to go out atm.

Here's an Intel build. Most parts are the same, except for the processor and motherboard. The integrated graphics on this Intel mobo are sufficiently sorry that a discrete GPU is needed. Of the two builds, if I were the one choosing, I'd take the AMD.
