I need some help diagnosing a problemw with a new build.
I have a Ultra Grid ATX case with a 600w PS.
I have an Asus P5NSLI MB.
I have an Intel E7300 (Core 2 Duo 2.66 ghz).
I have 2 matching sticks of Ultra DDR2 PC2-5300 (667mhz).
I have a WD 640gb SATA.
I have a LiteOn DVD R/W Multi SATA.
I have XFX GeFORCE 8800GT Video.
Generic Flat Panel, Mouse and Keyboard.

The problem is nothing from Power Up. The fans whirr, the LED on the MB comes on and the power light on the chassis lights. I get no POST and no BIOS start. All of the parts are new except the MB which I got as a "great deal" on EBAY from a good seller.
I know that if the memory isn't right I should get beeps. I don't even get those.
Any thoughts?
(None about the great deal on EBAY, please.)

you'll only get those beeps if there is a beeper attatched if not, it could be the ram

The mobo doesn't support the cpu. You should have gone with 750i or later for 45nm.

Ok. I Purchased a CPU that was supported by the MOBO. It is an Intel E6600. Brand new. Put it in and got the same result. The only thing not new about the whole PC is the MOBO. I see an ad above for the same MOBO and a CPU from Amazon for $99.00. Is this for real and new? How do you tell? I went to Amazon and it has no details that say new or used.

Any other helpful hints.

Unplug power cord, clear cmos for 10 mins, try each ram stick in each slot, then load bios default & up ddr2 voltage, and install the other ram.
