I have windows xp SP3 home edition installed on my PC.
I have just move into a new house and have no internet access at present, however for some unknown reason I have started to have printing issues.
I have a Lexmark Printer which does not appear to be installed even though it is. I also get warning messages when I go to print saying ' Operation could not be completed. The print spooler service is not running '
I have tried uninstalling the print drivers and reinstalling however I now get a message saying 'The RPC Server is unavailable'
I have tried starting the printer spooler within the systems management directory howver it keeps switching back off.
I don't have the original XP operating disk so cant even carry out a repair !
Can anyone help or send me a link to a step by step guide to resolve this issue.
