SLI problems in Vista...

Finaly gave in and got Vista and put it on a spare HDD. I loaded all the drivers and my 8800gt(s) (with 178.13 )and everything works fine. I go into nvidia control panel and set it to SLI and bam...the screen goes black and it shows a dos screen with the blinking _ (not BSOD). i restart the computer and the nvidia control pannel is gone and its still set as seperate cards. Its not and hardware problems becuase it works fine in XP. Any help/ expeirence with this problem would be great, thanks.

Also the Graphics cards are PNY

I had exactly the same problem and I could solve it after I flashed the bios on both video cards. In my case were two BFGs 8800GTs that were bought within a 3 months difference.

After I flashed both cards SLI worked like a charm.

no go....i cant seem to find anything about bios flashing on PNY's website...=/

Im going to install all of the vista updates to make sure that isnt a problem before proceeding, see if i can get anywhere with that.

try taking out one of the cards, starting the computer normally, then just fiddle around (launch a game, launch nvidia cp, quit etc.) then shut it down, put in the second card and then start up the PC again.
