EPP and SPD compatibility

i noticed last night that my memory config is a little weird.

my one bank of 2x1gig DDR2-6400 is SPD and the other bank of 2x1gig DDR2-6400 is EPP. does that make a difference? or is EPP backwards compatible? i did notice that CPU-Z did show both EPP and JEDEC info, so i assume it is.
is this an issue at all?

please don't stone me for not using the exact same memory

You're fine: all DIMMs have SPD. EPP is just more info stored in a part of the DIMM that's empty in the SPD standard.
