Hello Everyone

I was on a forum and i remember this user, he/she calls themselves
'User Name'

Now i was just checking my Event Viewer and i realised that, everytime
i connect to the internet it logs this..

The user User Name successfully established a connection to The
Internet (1) using the device IRDA8-1.

Is this member viewing me or poking around where they shouldn't be?

Please Help Me

I do not have any Infra Red Hardware or anything i use a modem to
connect to the net everything is like a home pc.

Thank You

Normally I would say "yes" it's referring to infra red hardware BUT if you
have AOL installed you might see this entry in Event Viewer every time you
log on with it. No idea why it's identified in that manner - either Windows
incorrectly identifies their special internet connection (or AOL
incorrectly informs Windows about what it is). The reason that I think
this: When I still had AOL on this system, I would see the same thing. The
date/time stamp for the event matched AOL connections exactly. I no longer
have this software installed and the message is gone.
