Hey all,
I need some help
Currently my specs are
AMD 3000+ sempron
Chaintech mobo socket 754 (eek)
ATI 1950GT 512MB PCI 16
1Gig pc 3200 ram
120 gig Western Digital HD

So i'm suprised how well this is holding up as old as it is, i run, itunes, limewire, msn messneger, World of warcraft, and firefox all at the same time not bad at all. However it is starting to show me it's getting old. So...what now?

I want to do all these activities, and i plan on playing some more first person shooters like World in conflict and anything war related i guess.

I was recently looking at an Intel E5200 wolfendale processor tons of ppl told me to get it for how cheap it was.
But, does AMD have a better performance for the same price

i do NOT plan to overclock!!! :D

Maybe you guys could help me out, picking out a processor/mobo/ram for under like $250 and maybe throw a Hardrive in there being that mine is still IDE

Thanks so much!

if you only wanna spend $250 then you're pretty much limited to AMD unless you can live with an intel motherboard with next to no features. also, i don't think you'll be able to fit a hard drive into that budget without getting a very small capacity one and skimping on more important things.

before, i picked out that e5200 4gigs of ram a 320 gig hardrive and a Asus mobo all for 250$$ i just wanted oppinion on the processor brand for not OC and my activites so if i can get an intel for that i can only assume amd is cheaper
