just wondering i have been playing around with my HIS 4870 1gig and can go down to 375/500 with rivatuner but according to rivatuners monitoring tool it increases voltage regulator output (guessing this is just a fancy term for voltage to the gpu) from 1.20 (powerplay) to 1.26 if i activate low level hardware overclocking so.

Is lowering the clocks to 375/500 with 1.26V better then leaving it at 500/900 1.20?

PS according to rivatuner the the voltage regulator current decreases from 23.03A (54.19A load in furmark powerplay 500/900) TO 14.9A (31.84A load under furmark 375/500)

any thoughts? Cheers

What are you trying to acheive ? If its using less power then the numbers speak for themselves. If its the life of the card you are worrying about then im no expert but cant see 0.06 of an AMP making a differance.

Just trying to save a bit more power as it sits on idle for many hours and if it can save some power that would be money in the wallet
