I was wondering which video card has the best performance/temp/heat ratio.

In other words, which card still offers good performance but runs with low heat/temps. I was thinking it might be the Nvidia 9600 GT cards. Anyone agree? Or is there other cards that are offer a similar balance?

Whatever it is, which card would you recommend? That is, series, brand, model? I prefer Nvidia because I use mostly Linux and from that, I like eVGA and XFX. Palit and Zotac maybe, too. I'm not as sure about those brands. Perhaps, owners or ex-owners of those cards know? Also, ATI fans are welcome to suggest ATI cards but I think they are still problematic in Linux although the current state of drivers is always improving.
