what would the fps be u think in games like bioshock cod 4 crysis at iether 1280 or 1024

Reply to drmolerat

i'd say around 40 on medium settings for bioshock 30-ish for cod4 and low 20's for crysis.

Well I just ran it and I got default medium everything on the graphics settings and I added X4 AA. 45 FPS running around and dropping to 25 in a firefight with 3 soldiers. HD 3850 Intel Core 2 4600 adn 2 Gig Ram.

According to this you will loose about 10 FPS due to your CPU :( http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/c [...] otout.html

update on this setup. i got it built and it runs at decent temps both cpus at 26 to 30 the gpu running only at 52 on load. this setup maxes out cod4 on 1280x 1024, maxes bioshock, crysis is still ugly but 1024 all on medium i got between 35 and 45 fps. far cry 2 runs great 4x aa all setting on high 1280 x 1024 floating around 40 fps. alos maxes out mass effect with mid 40s

Good to hear. I'm running about the same setup, but CPU @ 2.7Ghz and an hd 4670. I was looking at FC2 and Mass Effect, but curious on how they'd run. Good news for me, over 50fps is for rich people.
