HP Laptop: SSD and Win7 or SATA and Win XP?

i need to replace the hard drive in my HP DV2000 laptop and was considering a ssd with win 7 ultimate or a 7200rpm sata and win xp. size and performance really isn't an issue, i'm mainly concerned about battery life. what combo would give me longer battery life?
