I have 2x2g Gskill ddr3-1600's with an i-5 and a hd 5850 all running stock, I've heard that there's no point in overclocking the i-5 with just one 5850 but i am wondering if oc'ing my memory will actually do anything for me. I do plan on oc'ing the video card though. Thx for any help.

Overclocking your memory will make a small difference since your CPU will be able to read and store information faster. Of course it's not just clock speed, but timings as well. Having slower timings can offset the advantage of a higher speed. Overclocking your CPU will make more of a difference.
