I was considering getting an OCZ ssd to store m program files like windows and using another hdd for storage. Does this seem like i good idea. Win 7 is 20gB so would 30gb be enough or do i need to get 60. I currently have a 75GB drive on my laptop and it has only 24gB full including everything.

An SSD for Windows would certainly speed up your boot and application startup times. IMHO 30GB is a little tight - don't forget that there are things like the recycle bin and restore points on the OS disk that you may not be accounting for.
