Upgrading 2gb to 4gb... what to do???

hi guys,
currently i own a P5Q deluxe with Q6600 @ 3.2ghz and a pair of Corsair XMS2 2GB PC6400 C4 DDR2 800MHz Memory (2X1Gb).

im looking to upgrade to 4gb, but im not sure wether to buy a new 2X2gb kit or just get another identical kit. the problem is, im having a lot of trouble overclocking the current ram, it seems like anything above 800Mhz will always fail prime blend and large fft unless i use a lot of Vcore.

so if i was to buy a new kit what would you recommend that is stable and can overclock well? Or am i doing something wrong and the current ram should be able to do more?

Yeah dump the current kit. Your troubles will only get worse when you try to populate all four slots.

Low voltage is key. I'm guessing you want to try to get beyond 400Mhz FSB? If so, you'll need something stronger. I like these:

1100Mhz, 1.8-1.9V is pretty much unheard of.

thanks for the reply, i found them cheapest on Ebay for £70, which im not sure about... other than that what kind of timings were you able to get?

also any other suggestions?
