I have a 3 year old Nforce4 AMD 939 chip set with 2 gigs of ram, a Athlon 64 3000+ (1.8ghz) processor and a GeForce 6800.... i'm on an extremely tight budget and want to have a computer to play Warhammer online.

I can upgrade my processor to a Athlon 4000+ (2.4Ghz) for $30 and probably get a better graphics card for another $65 bringing my grand total to $95. Not sure though if this would be fast enough to provide frustration free gameplay.

Or I can keep my old case, powersupply, drivers ram etc and upgrade to a good motherboard like ASUS P5Q Pro LGA 775 Intel P45 ($120), a Wolfdale E7200 (2 core 2.4 ghz processor; $120) and a Sub $100 PCI-E 2.0 for a grand total of $340....

Which sub $100 graphics card is the best?? Please advise.

For power i have an antec 500W Ram is 1G (2 x 512), mobo is a nforce4 socket 939 that takes 3200 ram with a express PCI x 16 slot for graphics, 19" monitor and a cheap ATX case...

the problem with the HD 4670 is that my mobo doesnt have the 2.0 version of the ePCI x 16... =(

I would recommend a dual core processor and ATLEAST 2 GB of ram. I notice a marketed improvement in load times and HD access stutter when I upgraded to vista and 4GB of ram

It's not a 4ghz chip stock, but can be OC'd to that speed, under certain conditions. For this type of build it'll fit the budget, but please don't quote something like it's a stock speed.

Here's what I'd consider:
CPU/Mobo combo - $168 - $10 MIR = $158!! Has p43 mobo and good CPU too!
4th combo down from the top!

Memory - $38 - $13 MIR = $25!!! One of the better sets to get for the $!! Your DDR won't work on todays mobo's, except for a select few.
CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail

GPU - $108 - $20 MIR = $88!! Solid GPU and doesn't require any extra power from the PSU!!!
HIS Hightech H467QT512P Radeon HD 4670 IceQ Turbo 512MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Retail

Total ~$315 - $43 MIR's = $272!!! Now that is going to be hard to get. If you wanted a bit more GPU power, than I'd get the 4850, which your PSU (assuming it's not too old) should be able to handle it.
$160 - $20 MIR = $140!!! Only $52 more, but a heck of alot more power!!
SAPPHIRE 100245L Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Retail
With that GPU you'd be at $324 after the MIR's!!
