you should think about getting a bigger PSU with the GTX260, otherwise, looks good

As previously said, the PSU might be limit, specially if it's a carry-over since it might have lost some if it's "power" over time.

Other than that, I would like to mention that since you might still be using that 32 bits Vista, your applications will only be able to "see" the first 3.5GB of RAM, you need to have 64 bits OS to use more.

personally I think ur setup is good enough, maybe upgrade to a new graphics card. Then I'll wait for the new intel architecture to come out then consider upgrading to the new architecture or to the then cheaper c2d architecture.

Ok so a power supply then.Guess i'm just not understanding them.The gtx 260 says 500w.Thought i would be good with a 550watter,
so is it because each rail only has 18amps?

If you don't mind ordering in 2 shipments if the PSU isn't enough you could give it a try. I suggested another PSU just to be on the safe side. If your PSU had been a Power & Cooling, EarthWatts, Corsair or another Tier 1 or 2 PSU (highest quality), I wouldn't have bothered, but I don't know Asus' PSU quality.

In theory you should be just file, just balance the hassle it might be if you have to order another one AFTER ordering all the other parts. Risk management ;)
