Im sorry for asking this but I have been unable to find my answer.
I just bought a dell 2.4 Quad core with 4G of memory and id like to piece together a video wall to have 1 big picture from 2-6 LCD's. Assuming my PS is large enough. I figure i can at least get this started.
I think I can start with a GTX 280/9800gtx but, my question comes when I add a 2nd video card. I think I can use SLI and all the swf I need to set this up come with the video card ? or is downloaded via Nvidia ?
My 2nd question is how do I select the input ? I do not plan to play any games just watch what ever comes out of the stereo receiver which will be composite or HDMI.
All the dvd's/ps3/sat/cable boxes is all hooked up to the Denon and I current go from the Denon DVI to the TV's DVI.
Someone said just get a pc tuner card with the correct cable connectors and it will pass the video through? will this work ? any brand/ models or all they all the same ? is there anything with a built in HD off air antenna decoder as well ? or will I have to pick one or the other.
i purchased a standalone video wall controller (2x2) which allows to output to 4 screens either in clone mode or full screen over 4 screens or vertical replication. This is a complete standalone unit which is full HD. Purchased from iView Data at www.iiview.com
iVw4 (2x2) 1 x DVI-I input (single link cable) 4 x DVI output (single link cable)
Therefore whatever video source you input via the DVI-I single link will output to the number of outputs be it video or stills etc.. the input can also be via HDMI to DVI-I. Resolution will be upscaled to the output monitors. Will support 720i/p or 1080i/p.
I used it for a big gaming experience and hooked it up to 4 32 inch LCD screens and used the HDMI input, however i have played dvd on it as well and find it fantastic.. just simply plug and play .. no software required. And it was the cheapest on the internet.. great support. iiview.com
