First of all, thanks for ParticleMan, he helped me pick out most of this stuff. I went over my original budget, but will see how that turns out.

I'm not 100% sure if all of this stuff is compatible. Also, let me know if I can get better bang for my buck.

I have no idea for a case, maybe someone can kick me a suggestion that will fit everything I have picked. If you can save me some $ with better suggestions, let me know. :)

Thanks in advance.

CM690 or Antec 900.

Do you overclock?

I suggest one of these heatsinks:

You should give some kind of budget for the case recommendation. Also, how much noise you are willing to put up with and LEDs or no LEDs.

The XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 with the XIGMATEK ACK-I7751 Retention Bracket is a better cooler for cheap. It fits most mid-towers but check for clearance when you choose your case.

Your power supply is AMD certified. Great!

Looking to blow about 100 hopefully at the most on a case. I am flexible on this though, just throw me some ideas around that range.

And no, I don't overclock. But, I'll probably learn how with this system, hopefully I don't fry anything. :S

For noise level, I'd prefer the more silence, really don't want a jet engine in my room.

Is that incompatible? This is the first real expensive gamer pc I will be making, so I'm a little lost. I have put together crappier systems before. As I said Particle Man helps with most of the stuff, and I changed some around. That is why I asked if everything was compatible.

+1 on CM690.
There aren't links; does that RAM run at 1.8V? I'm guessing not. Save yourself potential grief by getting some that does. Mushkin and A-Data both have 4GB sets that adhere to this standard. The Mushkin has better timings (5-4-4-12) and the A-Data is cheaper.
To make budget, drop back from a 4870 to a 4850.
Zalman coolers have been surpassed. Both the Xigmatek S1283 and the Sunbeam Core Contact coolers have better performance and are much cheaper ($36?). Frostytech has listings, at http://www.frostytech.com/top5heatsinks.cfm

Hmmm, sorry I got delayed; evongugg always posts those links. There's also a low-profile link on the top of the first page, but you probably won't need a low profile cooler.

WD6400AAKS is a bit cheaper per GB (at newegg today, at least) and a bit faster than WD7500AACS.

Xigmatek HDT-S1283 is cheaper and quieter than Zalman 9700, and does a great job too.

I'd upgrade to P5Q Pro because it has more features and especially Crossfire support.

Upgrade the PSU to Corsair 750TX, $83 with free shipping:
That saves you some cash and gives you the Crossfire option too.

Case: very hard to beat the CoolerMaster 690 at $77 with free shipping.
