I know PCI-e 2.0 isn't the end-all of expansion (took this page to explain that to me), but a friend recently got a GTX and he wants to maximize it. Only problem is that those new mobos seem to be really expensive.
Question is, which motherboard with 2.0 support provides best value for money? Best I've found so far is this Far Cry 2 package, lol.
Well the one you mention is a socket 1366 (for Core i7), which all have PCI-E 2.0 and are all quite expensive but without what the CPU is (or will be) we can't suggest a suitable one.
Hmmm... my friend doesn't have a CPU in mind... which provides the best value for money in your opinion? Would this Intel 920 do? The friend is happy he just won the GTX at a raffle and just wants to build the cheapest (yet maximized) system around it.
