Hello everyone I have ubuntu installed on my one hard drive which is a IDE. I just purchased a second hard drive which is a 500 GB WD SATA drive. I installed and apparently the BIOS recognized.

My problem is when I go to install WinXP on the SATA drive, it telling me that is does not recognize the format (RAW) and it won't allow me to change the format. Is there anything I can do about this. Thanks

Barracuda? You need to initialize the harddisk before use. Go to the hdd manufacturer's site for the free software.
