I havent built a computer in 7 years. Looking to build something that will last me a few more years. I do not know a whole lot about most of these. I do want to beable to go SLI but I will purchase the second graphic card in another month. Please let me know what you think and if you have any recomendations. My fund is around $1700 right now.

Drop that mobo...the T has DDR3 which 1) is expensive 2) unneeded and 3) wont work with DDR2....

Get a good Asus board like the P5Q-E or Deluxe
If u plan to CF then go with an X48 so theres no bottlenecking (Rampage Formula)

Also do u need a velociraptor?? I mean it will help load speeds but something like the WD 640 AAKS is plenty fast and has a great price per GB

Edit**: Also switch out that PSU for the Corsair HX 1000. Its still overkill, cheaper and is better quality (CWT good vs. Topower okay)

Thanks for the input. Dont really need the velociraptor, just wanted to make something that will last a little bit. The WD 640 AAKS, is that WD 6400 AAKS?
