Hi,

I'm looking at buying a new rig, with an emphasis on reliability, longevity and not being too expensive.

This is what I have planned so far:

CPU
Intel - BX80562Q6600

Motherboard
ASUS - P5E3

Memory
Corsair Micro - TWIN2X4096-6400C5

Video Card
XFX - GX-260N-ADD9

Hard Disk
Seagate - ST3500320AS

Optical Drive
Lite-On - DH-20A4P(BLACK) x2

Power Supply
Corsair Micro - CMPSU-620HX

Cooler (CPU)
Thermalright - HR-03-PLUS

Cooler (Graphics)
Thermalright - ULTRA-120-EX

Thoughts? Will it work? How can I improve it without blowing out hte budget?

What is your budget? Thats the one main equasion missing from your question for us to better answer...

The setup looks good btw. What case are you using?

Also, I believe you have the descriptions backwards on the cpu and gpu coolers but we get the point. If you go overbudget you could shave off the aftermarket gpu cooler and maybe add and extra case fan to get the needed airflow.

You can also get a similar Xigmatec cpu cooler for about half the price.

This comes out to $1750AU w/ delivery costs. I would prefer to keep it at about that level, but $2000AU would be my absolute limit.

The case is a Cooler Master - RC-534-KKN2. This is one thing about compatability, will it fit everything?

I believe the motherboard you have listed is DDR3 and you are buying DDR2 memory. I would suggest that you find a DDR2 motherboard since buying DDR3 is too expensive and not a good performance/cost choice yet.

Everything you have listed will fit other than the memory issue...
