Specs are
P5B Deluxe
Nvidia 8800gtx
Core 2 quad q6600
6 gigs of 800mhz ram

I recently got 64 bit vista ultimate which I have heard can support up to 128gbs of ram, when I got Vista installed I also got an extra 4gbs of ram which in total gave me 6gbs.

When I go into system info and cpu-z it shows me that I do have 6 gigs of ram

When I go into task manager and look at a sidebar app it shows that I am only using 5054mbs of ram

Is there anything I can do to use what I paid for or did I waste money?

Your other devices reserve space on RAM that can't be used freely by you. This is the missing RAM you are talking about. It is normal. The only way to get back more usable RAM is to downgrade to old GPU's and such that don't reserve so much system RAM.

That's not quite true, the other devices use up memory addresses, which could limit the amount of usable RAM but the don't use/reserve space on the RAM so he should get the full 6GB

Well the total ram that's able to be used at one time by 64 bit vista ultimate is 128+gbs, I am nowhere near that seeing as i'm using a bit less than 7gbs (6 system ram and 768mbs of ram from my video card). Both my mother board and my OS allow more than 5gbs of ram.

When I run games it used about 4 gigs total, so I have a gig of ram left over, I know that having 6 instead of 5 won't improve my performance during anything. It would just be nice to know it works.

I have 4gb installed CPUID shows it properly. Task manager shows 4093 mb, the actual total should be 4096. I think Windows is hosed myself..... If I right click on My Computer, click properties, it shows 4gb. Not 3.97 (or whatever) that task manager shows....

What? Memory is addressed with addresses. I don't follow you. Please explain.

On my old Dell, I went to the BIOS and it says my Radeon X300 is using 8MB of memory....
