Drawer in cpu to access won't open

Hello,
my dvd/cd drawer in cpu will not allow drawer to open. is there something i need to engage to get door to open with an input command

Open Windows Explorer. (Right-Click the Start Button, select "Explore all users")

Right-click the CD/DVD drive, select "Eject" and that should open it without a paper clip.
