Hi,

I've always wanted to build my own system so I am a complete noob. I've tried to read up on this stuff as much as possible. My budget is set for a max of $1200 and this is the first system I have built by myself.

I do play games on my system COD4, Bioshock, Spore etc. I feel like there is something major missing :P I have the other stuff such as monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, headphones etc. I'm not planning on OCing or even learning how to do that, just want a good system that will run games and programs well and I want to learn.

My main questions are: are all of these things compatible with eachother? do you guys see any places I could save some money or where I should spend more? and are there any other equipment replacement suggestions you have? any extra heatsinks/fans you would use?

THANKS!!!!!!!!

If you want a clear side panel, you might want to consider Antec Nine Hundred for about the same price.

For about the same price, go with a better PSU like Corsair/Antec.

If you plan to overclock the cpu, you want to switch the mobo out with P5Q PRO and throw in an aftermarket cooler for more than 3Ghz o/c.

The rest are good.

Hello,

I would go with newer P45 MOBO chipset or X48 (Asus P5E Deluxe......I have it and it is a great MOBO for not a lot of $$$ :ange: )

If no OC'ing do no necessarily need it, but would be nice for CPU cooling...

XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler

get the retention bracket with it.

Fans......get some good aftermarket and replace stock case fans (Sythe good brand)

PSU........Antec 850w Quattro or Corsair 750w

Thanks for the suggestions...I've updated my PSU, went with the new case and upgraded the MOBO and it is only $5 more total :P

Yeah, your choices look pretty solid. I'd get another hdd to be honest, but everything looks good.

i want to build my first pc too i want one of these mother boards but i don't know what speacial diffrence between them

Gigabyt ga-ep45t-extreme and Ausu p5q3 deluxe wifi/AP

both are up to 16 gb ddr3
i want to put with them :
intel e84006mb cash 3ghz CPU
MSI HD 4870 512 ddr5 dx10.1 Vedio Card
2 Hard disk each 500 Giga 7200 RPM 16 MB SATA 2
and 4 * 1GB ddr3 1066 OCZ
(i put 4*1gb ddr3 instead of 2*2gb ddr3 because i just foud 2giga ddr3 1333 .....which 1*2giga 1333 = in cast 4*1giga 1066 dr3)

PLZ i need advices about which mother board to use &

um, you might want to start your own thread.
Either way differences between the two motherboards:
1. Different brand.
2. Different onboard lan chipset.
3. Asus has 8 SATA ports, Gigabyte with 6.
4. Asus has 6 USB ports, Gigabyte has 8.
5. Asus has 1 IEE1394, Gigabyte has 3.
And the list goes on.

Either way it's personal preference, I'd go with the cheaper Asus board, but I'm pretty sure there's better options than either two for c/p.

yes but think the giga byte have better cooling and longer life range i think ... but the asus board have wifi Access Point 300 Mbs
anywaywhat about the Msi 4870 512 ddr5 ... is the 512 enough for wide screen and for heavy games ...
moreover wats is the sutable power i must put for the mother board and vedio card ..."thankx Johnyeah for replaying"
