I am looking at getting 2 more HDs. Currently I have two of the Western Digital Caviar Green WD10EADS 1TB 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5. These will be used for data storage only.

I can't decide on if I should go with 2 more 1tbs or 2 - 1.5s.

1TBs I was looking at -

Western Digital Caviar Black WD1001FALS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
Western Digital Caviar Green WD10EARS 1TB 5400 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5
SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5

1.5tbs I was looking at -

Western Digital Caviar Green WD15EARS 1.5TB 64MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5

I bought myself a Green 1.5 for my movies - it's already almost 3/4 full! It's a great drive, and I love it that it's energy efficient. Anyways, get 2x 1.5TB Greens for movies, music, documents, etc - for those things, it's super fast as is, but go with big!! The Black is great as the system drive (that's what I have), but totally a waste of funds (and electricity) if used for anything else! I have the Samsung F1 (1GB) for my documents (docs, pics, downloads, etc.) and it's a fast drive but I have nothing great or bad to write about it - it just works.

As for Seagate, I wouldn't write them off just yet, but you have to research the model you would be getting - as some are great, but some are crap! With WD, it's always a sure bet that you're getting a reliable piece of engineering! Cheers!
